FlexPro Teams Up with MCIU for IDEAS4U Interview Day
May 17, 2018 by The FlexPro Group
On Wednesday, May 2, The FlexPro Group was happy to take part in a professional and community development event hosted by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. IDEAS4U Interview Day is an annual day of preparation for high school students with disabilities as they prepare to enter the workforce after graduation. This year, the FlexPro team made the trip to the MCIU office in Norristown, PA to guide soon-to-be graduates through the interview process.
In addition to keynote speakers and several helpful presentations, employers from all around the greater Philadelphia area take part in mock interviews throughout the morning to deliver positive and constructive feedback. Students are counseled on best practices in the areas of eye contact, body language, and answering challenging questions while they work their way through interviews with companies that their interests.
Representing The FlexPro Group were Talent Management Director Donna Bregman and Talent Acquisition Manager Krissy Callari, both of whom enjoyed the experience as much as anyone. Not only were they able to team up with the MCIU on an important day, but they also had the opportunity to meet and work with 100 students looking to learn and grow.
“It is always rewarding and fulfilling to contribute to the community, but this has such a great impact on the future of the students about to graduate,” said Bregman. “Interviewing creates a stressful situation for everyone and to be able to help them prepare is so important. I hope we see more local companies get involved in the future.
