Holding on to Summer

September 28, 2011 by Rose Cook

As September winds down many of us are getting back into the old routine once again. The kids are finally settled back in school, vacations are over and the local pool is closed.  Summer has always been one of my favorite seasons and it’s sad to see it end.  One of the many things I enjoy is that everything seems more relaxed.  Unlike the rest of the year, summer seems to make things happen at a different pace.  Traffic is a little better without the school buses, evenings are a little nicer without the kids’ homework and the extra long days make me feel like I have all the time in the world to get things done.  I know…..it’s all perspective.  This year when the kids went back to school I decided to try and implement some changes to help keep that relaxed slow paced feeling just a little longer.
